When selecting the following division for your player, please understand the differences between Travel and In-House soccer.  The first available options for registration will be  NWISL Travel , then it will list  In-House .


NWISL Travel

  • Competition: More competitive, aimed at players looking to advance their skills.
  • Travel: Involves traveling to different towns
  • Structure: Teams are formed based on skill level, with formal league schedules.
  • Commitment: Higher commitment with frequent practices, games, and tournaments.


In-House

  • Competition: Recreational and less competitive, focusing on skill development and fun.
  • Travel: No travel; all games and practices are at Stephens Park in Schererville.
  • Structure: Teams are formed within the In-house program of SSC, grouped by age or grade.
  • Commitment: Lower time commitment, ideal for busy families or beginners.

 

Summary: In-house soccer is recreational, casual, and local, while travel soccer is competitive with higher commitment and travel.

-Offered a spot in our in-house recreational program
-Or issued a full refund

Disclaimer

Schererville Soccer Club’s Travel program is an OUTDOOR sport, and practices or games may be canceled due to weather or field conditions. This is beyond our control, and player safety is our top priority.

If games are canceled, NWISL will handle all rescheduling, not Schererville Soccer Club.
Please understand that extending the season is unlikely due to school calendars, seasonal breaks, and field usage by other groups in town.
No refunds will be issued unless the entire season is canceled.

Volunteer-Based Club

Schererville Soccer Club is a 100% volunteer organization, including our Board Members, Coaches, and Team Parents. We appreciate your support and encourage parents to get involved where possible.

Stay Connected: GameChanger App

If you’re new to the club, download the GameChanger Team Manager app (free on iOS and Android). This app is used for:
-Team and schedule visibility
-Coach communication
-Once teams are finalized, you’ll receive an email notification. Then:
-Open the app
-Tap the blue + icon in the lower corner
-Tap Import SportsConnect

Note:
Schedules may appear before team info becomes available
Families with multiple players may receive information at different times

What Happens Next

Once registration closes:
-Team-building begins and volunteers are assigned
-Coaches will receive team info a few weeks before the season begins
-Coaches will then begin reaching out to families
-Practice and game schedules will follow shortly thereafter

Practice Information

All practices are at Rohrman Park in Schererville. Practices are two days per week, Monday-Friday, and days and times are determined by the head coach

Game Schedule

Games are played on Sundays and occasional Saturdays. Home games are at Rohrman Park. Away games are at other NWISL club fields around Northwest Indiana

Required Equipment

Players must bring the following to every practice and game:
-Shin guards (worn under socks)
-Soccer cleats (no toe cleats)
-Age-appropriate soccer ball
-Water bottle

·        U8 - Size 3 Ball - Games 55min - Practices 60min
·        U10 - Size 4 Ball - Games 55min - Practices 60min
·        U12 - Size 4 Ball - Games 65min - Practices 60min
·        U14 - Size 5 Ball - Games 75min - Practices 60-90min (varies by coach)

Special Requests

Schererville Soccer Club does not accept special requests for teammates, coaches, or practice days.
We receive hundreds of requests each season and cannot honor them while ensuring fair and balanced teams.

Payment & Account Policy

Two weeks before the season:
-Accounts with open balances will receive a reminder email
-One week before the season: Unpaid players will be removed from rosters. Balances must be paid in full to participate

Schererville Soccer Club competes in the Northwest Indiana Soccer League (NWISL), a community-based league offering structured development for players of all skill levels.

Game schedules and standings are posted at www.nwisl.com
Travel is typically limited to local towns such as Crown Point, Highland, Dyer, Hobart, and others

2026 Fall In-House COED


Schererville Soccer Club – In-House League

The Schererville Soccer Club In-House League provides a fun, community-focused environment where players of all skill levels can learn and grow. Our program is designed to develop soccer skills while emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for the game without the travel or pressure of competitive leagues.

All teams are made up of local players, and all practices and games take place at Stephens Park in Schererville.

Weather and Scheduling Policy

Our In-House program is played OUTDOORS. Practices and games MAY be cancelled due to weather or field conditions to ensure player safety. All cancellations are determined by Schererville Soccer Club. Coaches are not permitted to cancel practices independently.

If games are cancelled, we will make every effort to reschedule them during practice times when possible. However, due to school schedules, vacations, weather, and park availability, the season cannot be extended beyond the planned dates.
No refunds will be issued unless the entire season is canceled.

Important Registration Information

Schererville Soccer Club is a 100 percent volunteer-run organization, including our Board Members and Coaches. We do our best to accommodate all players, but we are unable to honor specific scheduling requests.

By registering, families agree to:
  • Be flexible with practice days and times
  • Attend scheduled practices and games throughout the season
  • Commit to the full season without time restrictions such as only certain days or only after a specific time

Practice schedules are determined by coach availability.

If you have siblings in the program and would like them to practice on the same day, we will do our best to accommodate this request. However, due to team and coach availability, this cannot be guaranteed.

BY REGISTERING YOU ARE COMMITTING TO YOUR ASSIGNED SCHEDULE FOR THE SEASON

Refund Policy

  • No refunds will be issued after registration closes
  • No refunds will be issued once teams are formed and uniforms are ordered
  • All approved refunds are subject to a $10 processing fee

This policy allows for timely team formation and uniform ordering.

End: Second week of October 2026

Communication GameChanger App

We use the GameChanger Team Manager app for:
  • Team assignments and schedules
  • Communication from coaches

Once teams are finalized, you will receive an email invitation. Please use the same email associated with your SportsConnect account.

Note: Families with multiple players may receive notifications at different times.


What Happens After Registration

Once registration closes:
  • Teams are formed by volunteer commissioners
  • Coaches are assigned
  • Coaches receive rosters approximately two to three weeks before the season
  • Coaches will contact families once rosters are finalized
  • Practice and game schedules will follow shortly after

Practice Information

  • Two practices per week between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM
  • All practices held at Stephens Park
  • U4 players DO NOT have weekday practices and meet Saturday mornings only

Game Information

  • Games are played on Saturdays between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM
  • All games held at Stephens Park

What’s Included with Registration

  • Uniform kit including jersey, shorts, and socks
 *U4 players receive a jersey ONLY (parents provide shorts and socks)
  • One concession stand ticket per game which includes one snack and one drink
  • Soccer training support
  • End of season participation medal/trophy

What Players Need to Bring

  • Shin guards which must be worn under socks at all times
  • Soccer cleats with NO TOE CLEAT
  • Labeled age appropriate soccer ball
  • Labeled water bottle

-U4 Size 3 ball 30 minute sessions
-U6 Size 3 ball 39 minute games 45 minute practices
-U8 Size 3 ball 47 minute games 60 minute practices
-U10 Size 4 ball 55 minute games 60 minute practices
-U12 Size 4 ball 65 minute games 60 minute practices
-U14 Size 5 ball 75 minute games 60 minute practices
-U19 Size 5 ball 75 minute games 60 minute practices


Division Format

-U4 Focus on basic movement and ball skills with no teams or games
-U6 Small sided games with no goalkeepers and multiple fields for more touches
-U8 and older Introduction to positions, goalkeeping, and game strategy
-U19 Played in a small sided format due to roster sizes and may expand if enrollment increases
(High school players seeking full field play are encouraged to explore travel soccer options)

Special Requests

We do not accept special requests for teams, coaches, or schedules.
If you need a specific practice schedule, please consider volunteering as a Head Coach. With a large number of players each season, we are unable to accommodate individual preferences.

Account and Payment Policy

  • Two weeks before the season unpaid balances will receive a reminder email
  • One week before the season players with unpaid balances will be removed from rosters
  • Players may return once the balance is paid if roster space is available
